Founding Members

This is the start of a new Club at Montana State University in order to establish a group of students in favor of, in promotion of, and for the downright outright expression of the need for academic integrity. We are not sure were this will lead us, this idea is that we need to be a part of a growing trend towards being more honest, trusting one another, ensuring fairness, establishing respect, and making sure students and faculty take responsibility for their actions. We believe that academic integrity is a holistic issue that requires creating a cultural change involving students, faculty, and administrators in an integrated process. With that said we feel that the balance has been unfairly weighted to fulfilling requirements set by institutional standards and not enough has been asked of students. We can and we must work towards developing student characteristics that define our institution. The Academic Integrity Club will be a part of this growing trend, as proven trend setters we feel that with our examples we can empower students towards these higher standards. We look forward to any addition you can make towards this cause. The road we are on is long, it is tough, pot holes will bump us, there will be detours, construction, and the probable 100 car pileup, but we shall drive on, we shall succeed even in the face adversity.

Thank You,

The Academic Integrity Club
